Curiosity Garden Grinding Tools

This listing is for one pair of the tools I use when shaping my glass on the grinder. These pairs are ready to ship :)

Protect your fingers while grinding!! This is a tool that was developed over time and designed to aid in my own stained glass making process. After trying several other things on the market, I still hadn’t found anything that I liked using.

Out of desperation, I started looking around my garage for what could be used as a buffer between the sharp glass and my fingers. My first "prototype" was to use a piece of plastic packaging sawed in half. And I used those until they broke - realizing my work would be harder without them! So I rendered the basic shape in a 3D modeling program, and asked a friend of mine if they’d be willing to print and produce them for me!

Between the two of us, the shape developed over time to withstand longer use, and be more comfortable in the hands; because if you make stained glass, you know just how taxing grinding can be on your wrists and fingers! And how dangerously sharp those raw edges can be.

I personally use these on every piece that I grind, and with continued use one pair will last 120 hours or more. I am a pretty aggressive grinder, and go through about 3-4 pairs each year.
