Curiosity Garden Grinding Tools

This listing is for one pair of the tools I use when shaping my glass on the grinder. These pairs are ready to ship :)

Protect your fingers while grinding!! This is a tool that was developed over time and designed to aid in my own stained glass making process. After trying several other things on the market, I still hadn’t found anything that I liked using.

Out of desperation, I started looking around my garage for what could be used as a buffer between the sharp glass and my fingers. My first "prototype" was to use a piece of plastic packaging sawed in half. And I used those until they broke - realizing my work would be harder without them! So I rendered the basic shape in a 3D modeling program, and asked a friend of mine if they’d be willing to print and produce them for me!

The shape developed over time to withstand longer use and be more comfortable in the hands; because if you make stained glass, you know just how taxing grinding can be on your wrists and fingers! And how dangerously sharp those raw edges can be.

I wanted them to feel like they are barely there - acting as just a barrier between the glass and your fingers. the "L" shape fits against the thumbs and pointer fingers.

I personally use these on every piece that I grind, and with continued use one pair will last 120+ hours. I am a pretty aggressive grinder, and go through about 2-3 pairs each year.
