A full underwater scene of a mother and baby manatee, cradled by a bed of eelgrass below a ceiling of protective mangrove trees. The break lines in the background are structured to resemble the roots. An absolutely stunning array of glass colors were chosen to make this panel as vibrant as the springs themselves! Wire details were added for the mouth to create their prehensile lips, and eyes were added with paint. The entire piece is framed in zinc.
